Jean Kuo promoted to partner at Jones Day

Jean Kuo has been promoted to partner at Jones Day in Taipei effective January 1, 2021. Kuo's practice encompasses a broad range of fields, including M&A, intellectual property, antitrust, employment, and general corporate and commercial matters. She has extensive experience representing Japanese companies with their investment plans, as well as acquiring or selling shares of Taiwanese companies, and providing counsel on various regulatory issues, including employment matters and Taiwan antitrust compliance. She recently represented Japanese and European power groups in their acquisitions of offshore wind farms in Taiwan.
Kuo has also represented domestic and foreign companies in Taiwan antitrust investigations. She also has negotiated with Taiwanese companies for patent licenses on behalf of Japanese companies and has handled disputes and litigation involving intellectual property. She has spoken at financial services and accounting firm seminars in Tokyo and Taipei regarding M&A and public tender offers.
