Overview

Panisa Suwanmatajarn started her working life before obtaining her postgraduate intellectual property law degree from Queen Mary University of London. As a legal officer at the Department of Intellectual Property, she looked after all intellectual property matters, including but not limited to trademark, patent and copyright, and her day-to-day work was to render legal advice on issues that needed legal opinion. Her other responsibilities covered preparation of proposed amendments to legislation that the DIP looks after.

After five years working in the civil service, Suwanmatajarn left for private practice by joining a firm that practices all fields of intellectual property and information technology, where she put her experience in the government sector to good use. Suwanmatajarn was able to use her knowledge of relevant legislation into practice and enhanced the private practice to the next level.

After spending five years in that firm, Suwanmatajarn moved to a larger firm where she can enjoy a wider practice, as well as develop her own client base and handle my own assignments, both in- and outbound, on a wider variety of practices.
