Yuanyuan Jia has joined Haiwen & Partners in Beijing as a partner in the firm’s intellectual property practice. She joined the firm from Zhong Lun Law Firm, where she was also a partner.
Jia focuses on IP litigation, technology transactions and licensing, and has advised foreign and domestic high-tech companies in sectors including telecommunications, semiconductors, computer software and hardware, AI, internet, energy matters and automobiles.
Jia has a PhD in Physics from the Univeristy of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and did post-doctoral research at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Her training and experience is key to her success with high-tech IP projects; she was part of a team that advised on Iwncomm v. Sony, the first standard essential patent (SEP) case granted in China.
