Timothy Bickham has joined Dentons in Washington, where he is a partner in the firm’s intellectual property and technology practice. He will also serve as head of Dentons’ China IP litigation team.
With extensive experience in patent law and complex litigation, Bickham helps clients, including many international entities entering the U.S. market, protect their intellectual property rights and achieve their business objectives.
Bickham joins the firm from Steptoe & Johnson, where he was managing director of the China intellectual property and litigation group as well as managing partner of its Beijing office. Many of his clients are Chinese companies, that he represents in patent litigation matters before U.S. district courts and the ITC. In addition to working extensively with U.S. and Chinese clients, Bickham has also built a robust practice representing Brazilian and European companies in intellectual property matters.
With a client portfolio encompassing Fortune 100 companies and international organizations entering the U.S. market, Bickham represents companies in U.S. competitor litigation and coordinates international patent enforcement efforts across a wide range of industries including chemicals, electronics, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, software and telecommunications. Bickham’s experience extends to leading multi-jurisdiction litigation as well as representing clients in Section 337 claims before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC).
