Spruson & Ferguson (Asia) Names Choo Chiou Yu Principal

Spruson & Ferguson (Asia) has named Choo Chiou Yu a principal in its Singapore office. During the course of her study, she was involved in research work in the area of oil spills bioremediation, particularly in the immobilization of microorganisms to a solid matrix. Choo also did a six month industrial attachment with an A*STAR research institute researching on characterizing the identity and functions of a novel protein. Subsequently, she went on to pursue a Master’s of Science in biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University with a concentration in biodefense. Upon her return to Singapore, she worked in an A*STAR research institute before joining the firm.
