Mathew Campbell has joined Ellis Terry as an associate in its Auckland-based patent team. Campbell is a registered Trans-Tasman patent attorney and enrolled lawyer focusing on patents for computer-implemented inventions. He has particular expertise working in emerging and fast-moving areas like fintech and artificial intelligence. He has experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications in different jurisdictions around the world, and has specialized in navigating the rules around the patentability of computer-implemented inventions. Before joining Ellis Terry, he worked at Baldwins in Auckland and Gill Jennings & Every in London, and as in-house counsel for a multinational medical device manufacturer.
