Ella Cheong And Kimbley Muller Were Named Recipients Of The International Trademark Association’s President’s Award

Ella Cheong of Ella Cheong and Kimbley Muller of Shell Oil were named recipients of the International Trademark Association’s President’s Award in November. The award pays tribute to a career of service to the global trademark community.

INTA calls Cheong one of its “most active volunteers,” noting that she has served the association as speaker, author, board member and committee leader. “Throughout her distinguished career in trademarks,” the association said in a release, “she has mentored many young professionals and helped to raise the standards for the trademark bar.” She has served as chair of the association’s East Asia & Pacific Subcommittee and used her relationships with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to build “a meaningful foundation for [the] association in Asia Pacific and focused many of [its] efforts on supporting brand owners in the region.”

Muller is cited for, among other things, his work in China while president of the association. Under his leadership, the association said, “INTA made several critical visits to China and laid the groundwork for the China Representative Office that began operations in 2003.”
