Jaya Pandeya promoted to partner at LKS in New Delhi

Jaya Pandeya has been promoted to executive partner at Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan in New Delhi, where she is part of the firm’s IP practice. Pandeya has been part of the team for more than 15 years, specializing in drafting patent applications in the field of computer software, electronics and communications for Indian as well as foreign clients.
She is also involved in prosecuting patent applications filed in India and has successfully argued many matters in hearings before the Controllers in the Indian Patent Office. Her role at the firm also includes providing technical and legal support to Indian clients prosecuting their patent applications in foreign jurisdiction.
She is a part of the team that is responsible for ‘directed prosecution’ for several large portfolio holders. Her role in this team involves identifying potentially infringing products and strategizing claims of pending applications to make them more pertinent for the portfolio holders to explore licensing opportunities with proprietors of such products. In this context, she also conducts evidence of use searches and performs claim charting for identified products.
