Maria Trinidad “Leny” P Villareal Has Been Promoted To Senior Partner At Carag, Caballes, Jamora & Somera

IP lawyer Maria Trinidad “Leny” P Villareal has been promoted to senior partner at Carag, Caballes, Jamora & Somera in Manila. She joined the firm in 1990 and has been a junior partner since 1999.
Villareal has served as Philippine legal counsel to the Motion Picture Association International since 1998 and is a board member of the Optical Media Board of the Philippines (the Philippine government body tasked to implement the provisions of the Optical Media Act of the Philippines). In November, she served as a facilitator in the trademarks/copyright mock trial portion of the training programme for the Second Advanced Course on Intellectual Property Law for Commercial Court Judges co-sponsored by the Philippine Judicial Academy and the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines.
The firm is in the process of securing approval to change its name to Carag, Jamora, Somera & Villareal.
