Elliott Sarre promoted to senior associate at Dentons in Adelaide

Elliott Sarre has been promoted to senior associate in the Dentons intellectual property and technology group in Adelaide. Sarre has experience in all aspects of trademark law, from pre-filing searches and filing strategy to enforcement and contentious opposition proceedings, including negotiating global trademark co-existence agreements. He has specific knowledge regarding the enforcement of trademark rights in the online space, having acted for multiple clients in domain name complaints.
Sarre regularly advises on matters of consumer protection. He has assisted local and international businesses to comply with their obligations under the Australian Consumer Law, including the unfair contract term regime, the consumer guarantees and advertising requirements. He also has experience in product regulation and safety, including the management of national product recalls and regulator investigations, and advising on regulatory and labelling requirements of products across multiple industries.
Sarre has assisted clients across various sectors to navigate complex copyright licensing issues.
Sarre’s promotion was one of 18 in Denton’s July promotion class in Australia, including three to partner and 17 others to senior lawyer positions as either managing associate or senior associate.
