Spruson & Ferguson promotes 10 across Australia and Asia

Spruson & Ferguson has promoted 10 professionals across its Australia and Asia businesses:

Charles Wang, head of patents in Hong Kong, has been promoted to principal in the engineering and ICT practice in Asia. His practice includes patents, designs, patent portfolio management and IP strategy.

David Hvasanov has been promoted to principal in Australia’s chemical and life sciences practice. His practice includes commercially focused patent strategy and contentious patent matters.

Ken Johnstone has also been promoted to principal in Australia’s chemical and life sciences practice. His practice includes patent drafting and prosecution, pharmaceutical patent term extensions, oppositions, patentability, validity and freedom-to-operate advice.

Amanda Zhang has been promoted to special counsel in Asia’s engineering and ICT practice. Her practice includes patent prosecution, patent drafting, patent re-examination and invalidation.

Johnny Wong has been promoted to special counsel in Asia’s chemical and life sciences practice. His practice includes patent drafting, filing and prosecution, IP portfolio management and filing strategies.

Nadine Martino has been promoted to special counsel in Australia’s law practice. Her practice includes technology transactions and intellectual property matters.

Joanne Quach has been promoted to senior associate in Asia’s engineering and ICT practice. Her practice includes patent drafting and prosecution, patentability advice and patent portfolio management.

Madeline Connolly has been promoted to senior associate in Australia’s trademark practice. Her practice includes trademark prosecution, disputes, oppositions, non-use actions and trademark portfolio management.

Analine Fan has been promoted to associate in Asia’s chemical and life sciences practice. Her practice includes patent prosecution, infringement, invalidation and patent portfolio management.

Nicole Khong has been promoted to senior patent scientist in Asia’s chemical and life sciences practice.
