Richard Heath Starts An IP Policy Consulting Business, Richard Heath (IP) Associates

Richard Heath has retired from Unilever in London, where he was vice president – legal and global anti-counterfeiting counsel, and has started an IP policy consulting business, Richard Heath (IP) Associates.
Heath, who spent 18 years with Unilever, has extensive experience in brand protection, trademark policy, global anticounterfeiting strategies and treaty and model law analysis in intellectual property, and has frequently influenced public policy in intellectual property through his work with various governmental and non-governmental groups.
He testified before the US House of Representatives’ Judiciary Committee in September 2009 on proposed expansion of the generic top-level domain name space.
Heath, who is immediate past president of the International Trademark Association, chairman of the UK Anti-Counterfeiting Group (ACG) Council and Senior Policy Advisor to the International Chamber of Commerce Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy (ICC/BASCAP), is a member of the Asia IP editorial board.
