IP Expert Ed Kelly Joined Nike as Director for Asia

Southeast Asia IP enforcement expert Ed Kelly has joined Nike as Regional Counsel/Director for Asia, with responsibility for brand protection, security, criminal investigations, FCPA compliance and law enforcement relations for Nike throughout Asia. Kelly will be based in Hong Kong and will lead Nike’s brand protection team in Asia.
Prior to joining Nike, Kelly led the intellectual property practice at two of Thailand’s largest law firms, Siam Premier and Tilleke & Gibbins, and also founded a leading private commercial investigation firm, LGP Asia, which is active throughout Southeast Asia. He has consistently been identified by peers and clients as one of Asia’s leading business lawyers in the area of intellectual property.
Kelly will continue to serve SISHA USA, a charitable he founded with visionary Steve Morrish which focuses on anti-human afficking in Asia, as a member of the group’s Expert Advisory Board. For his work in this field, the Boston University School of Law conferred upon him the Victor J Garo Award for Public and Humanitarian Service in 2009.
