Brinton Scott has joined Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, where he will lead the firm’s Shanghai office and be tasked with future development of its China practice. Scott’s hire follows the recent appointment of David Smyth as the firm’s new managing partner for Hong Kong and China.
Scott has worked in China for the past 12 years, and has extensive experience in advising Fortune 500 and large private multinational corporations in foreign direct investment, mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations, joint ventures, employment, intellectual property and technology and licensing. He has worked in an array of sectors including insurance, aerospace, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, publishing, automotive, media and entertainment.
