David Llewelyn Has Relocated To White & Case’s Singapore Office

David Llewelyn, of counsel with White & Case, has relocated to the firm’s Singapore office. Llewelyn was previously based in London. He advises on all aspects of IP protection and exploitation, as well as IP and technology arbitration, and will work closely with partners Aloke Ray and Nandakumar Ponniya, who relocated to Singapore from London and joined the firm, respectively, earlier this year to establish an international arbitration practice in Singapore.

“David’s standing within the IP community makes this an important and strategic move for our intellectual property practice in Asia,” said Dimitrios Drivas, White & Case partner and head of its global intellectual property practice. “As Asia continues its economic development, intellectual property issues are now an integral part of business strategy, and we are more strongly positioned to assist clients’ needs across the region.”

Llewelyn has published and lectured extensively and is the deputy chairman and external director of the IP Academy Singapore, a post he has held since 2007. White & Case’s Asia-wide IP practice also includes a team of two partners, one counsel and six associates based in the firm’s Beijing and Tokyo offices.
