Overview
Young-Bo Shim has extensive experience prosecuting patent applications in semiconductor devices, software and wireless communications. He specializes in searching patent documents and prior art for litigation and patent clearance. He has conducted trials before the Intellectual Property Trial and Appeal Board (IPTAB), the Intellectual Property High Court and the Supreme Court of Korea. Shim has drafted numerous patent specifications for nanoengineering and LED inventions filed with both KIPO and the USPTO. He also handled a case seeking patent protection for an invention generated by AI (DABUS) in Korea.
