Overview

Shabnam Khan is an associate partner with RNA, Technology and IP Attorneys. With over 18 years of work experience as an intellectual property lawyer, she advises and assists a number of leading business houses in diverse fields with their intellectual property portfolios in India and foreign jurisdictions. Prior to joining RNA, Shabnam worked with some of the most eminent IP firms in India and has gained valuable and extensive experience in the IP domain.

Shabnam’s practice focuses on the legal and commercial aspects of trademarks. She handles the trademark prosecution and transactions practise at RNA, advising clients in a multitude of domains. She also advises government organizations and counsels entrepreneurs and the start-up community in developing, protecting, and strengthening their intellectual property assets in India.

Shabnam has attended several international conferences and has authored a number of articles in various leading legal and IP publications. She has been actively involved with INTA’s Unreal Campaign committee, spreading education and awareness amongst the youth in the Asia-Pacific region on counterfeiting and how it affects the consumers and the economy.  

Her professional and personal philosophy includes giving back in ways that make a meaningful difference to the local communities. She is closely associated with several pro bono projects in India facilitating those in need and helping them in achieving their goals.
