Overview

Dr. Anju Khanna heads the patent department and is in-charge of both patent prosecution and litigation at Lall & Sethi. She has more than 23 years of work experience, with 21 years in the field of patents.  

Khanna oversees and handles work in different technology domains including chemistry, pharmaceutical, medical devices, electrical and mechanical inventions, and telecommunications, to name a few. She is actively involved with the Patent Office and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and organizations like the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Invest India, etc., in policy decisionmaking and regularly engages with them in this regard. A few examples of such engagements are participation in commenting and contributing towards CRI guidelines, pharmaceutical inventions’ guidelines, working statement requirements, SEP (standard essential patents) paper (issued by the DPIIT), etc. Khanna is a member of the IP Committee of the CII. 

Khanna is also a member of APAA, INTA, AIPPI and IPO Association. She was a member of the Patent Committee (India Group) of APAA from 2016-2018. She has been a member of several INTA committees since 2016 and was a member of INTA’s Unfair Competition Committee from 2022-2023. She has been chosen to be a part of INTA’s Trade Secrets Committee for 2024-2025.
