Xu Zhao joins AnJie Law Firm in Shanghai

Xu Zhao has joined AnJie Law Firm as a partner in its Shanghai office, where she specializes in patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.

She joined the firm from Chen & Co Law Firm, a member firm of EY Law, where she was a director and IP team leader. Her recent work has included advising an innovative pharmaceutical company on patent strategy, advising a multinational pharmaceutical company on the advantages and disadvantages of establishing biologics plant in China from the perspective of IP and advising an investment firm on IP risks when a generic drug company to be invested was involved in a patent infringement lawsuit due to patent linkage.

Zhao holds a Ph.D. in biotechnology and a postdoctoral degree in genetics.
