Trademark litigator Robert Cooper has joined Minter Ellison in Melbourne from King & Wood Mallesons. Cooper has been an intellectual property lawyer for 20 years and is also a registered trademark attorney. He handles disputes, licensing issues and trademark registrations.
Cooper has substantial experience in patent disputes in areas such as pharmaceutical compounds and processes, methods of treatment, business methods, mobile telecommunications, financial services, mechanical devices, heavy engineering, industrial refrigerants and various consumer goods.
He also advises clients in complex IT disputes. He has a Masters degree in computing and has successfully acted for telecommunications, publishing and e-commerce clients in this field. He also manages the trade mark protection needs of a range of Australian and international clients.
