Richard Bell, a dispute resolution partner at Clyde & Co, has joined the firm’s Shanghai office from its Abu Dhabi office. He acts for clients in all areas of dispute resolution, with particular experience in joint venture disputes, property development and infrastructure disputes and disputes arising under franchise, distribution and importer agreements.
He frequently acts for clients in cross border arbitration proceedings including LCIA, ICC, DIFC/LCIA, DIAC and ad hoc arbitrations, and assists clients with court proceedings in overseas jurisdictions. He is well versed in alternative dispute resolution and is regularly instructed by clients to assist in settling claims by negotiation, mediation, expert determination and other forms of ADR.
