Omesh Puri joins Anand and Anand as trademark partner

Omesh Puri, a seasoned IP lawyer with 17 years of experience, has joined Anand and Anand’s trademark team as a partner. Puri, formerly associated with LexOrbis as head of trademarks, designs, and copyrights, brings extensive expertise in prosecuting and enforcing intellectual property rights.
With substantial experience in handling domain name disputes before NIXI and WIPO, Puri also possesses a deep understanding of advertising and privacy-related legal matters. His practice includes advising clients on intricate commercial and IP disputes, managing IP portfolios across various industries such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, software, fashion, and automobiles.
Puri is also a prolific author, with articles featured in leading legal publications. Additionally, he actively participates in raising awareness about intellectual property rights.
The firm has also brought Ritu Bhargava on board as a corporate and trademark professional who is based out of Bengaluru.
Having worked with Anand and Anand in 2016-17 on the trademark prosecution side, Bhargava specializes in commercial transactions, general corporate work, IP, litigation and regulatory.
A Gujarat National Law University alumna, Bhargava was seconding with Google LLC where she was a part of the Commercial Team (India and West Asia) and provided seamless support to the business units like Google Ads, Google Marketing Platform, Google Analytics, Google Operations Center, India, to name a few. She also led the litigation and IP Team at Udaan, a B2B e-commerce platform, and has worked with Ola Cabs.
Alongside Puri and Bhargava, the firm reports that several other professionals have also returned to Anand and Anand in the past month, bringing with them a cumulative experience of 35 years.
