O’Boyle bumped to senior associate, while Colquhoun is now an associate.
Odilla O’Boyle has been promoted to senior associate at Marshall+Dent+Wilmouth in Melbourne, where she works on the firm’s entertainment law team. She provides legal services to feature film and television producers and production companies across the development, financing and production stages. She has experience negotiating and contracting with rights’ owners, screen agencies, local and international lenders, investors, distributors, sales agents and SVOD platforms. She also has extensive experience working on official co-productions. O’Boyle has provided production legals and advice on a diverse range of feature films, TV and documentary projects including Penguin Bloom, Slim & I, Black Site, The Portable Door, I Met A Girl, Ride Like A Girl, Escape From Pretoria, The Furnace, The Dry, New Gold Mountain, The Power of the Dog and Nine Perfect Strangers.
Davina Colquhoun has been promoted to associate by the firm’s entertainment law practice. Her short films have featured at many international film festivals, including the Melbourne International Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Havana Film Festival, HollyShorts and the Slamdance Film Festival.
Colquhoun has acted as a programmer for the Slamdance Film Festival and, for six consecutive years, was a panellist for the short film programme at the Melbourne International Film Festival.
