King & Wood Mallesons has expanded its dispute resolution offering with the appointment of intellectual property litigation specialist Matthew Swinn to its partnership in Melbourne. Swinn joins from Corrs Chambers Westgarth, where he was the national practice group leader for the IP, technology and competition law practice. With experience across a range of sectors, including in particular the manufacturing, life sciences and consumer sectors, Swinn is known for his patent litigation expertise, having acted in patent disputes for some of the world’s largest companies. His expertise spans the range of IP issues including contentious trademark, copyright, trade secrets and consumer protection/passing-off matters.
