Jennifer Waitman joins Kilpatrick Townsend in New York

Jennifer R. Waitman has joined Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton in New York as a partner in the firm’s trademark, copyright and advertising team.
Waitman brings more than 25 years of experience concentrating on international trademark prosecution in more than 180 jurisdictions, including China. She represents clients on matters involving trademark prosecution, litigation, cancellation and opposition procedures, counterfeit goods prosecution, and the management of trademark portfolios. In her career, she has obtained a groundbreaking award of an EU trademark registration, has regularly negotiated world-wide co-existence, settlement, and assignment agreements, and prepared and managed a variety of disputes including litigation to resolve infringement disputes, and analysis of trademark clearance reports.

Waitman has achieved successful results for some of the largest brands and content owners, including clients with goods in the automotive, apparel, toys, trinkets, periodical publications, beauty, alcoholic beverages, and food sectors. She counsels clients on global branding initiatives to select and clear new trademarks, advises on global licensing programs, and polices online trademark infringements and prosecutes domain name actions.
