Jay H Im has joined K&L Gates as a Seoul and Orange County, California-based partner in its corporate/M&A practice.
Im joins from Korean entertainment and media company CJ E&M Corporation, where he served as head of international legal affairs. Im has advised on landmark M&A deals; negotiated thousands of corporate, commercial, and TMT-related contracts; and managed the licensing of hundreds of patents, trademarks, and copyrighted formats. Im possesses a particular understanding of the entertainment industry, having been deeply involved in the production and distribution of ilms and television variety shows, large scale K-pop concert and festival planning, and artist management
