Israel’s IP Experts 2026
30 September 2026
While Israel fights a prolonged war on multiple fronts, what has emerged from that war is “one of the most impressive stories of resilience and strength in our national history,” writes public policy expert Eitan Lasri, a strategy and business consultant and university lecturer.
Writing for news network i24, Lasri says that “Israel’s high-tech industry, supported by determined, focussed government policy, has not only weathered the upheaval but broken unprecedented records, returned to rapid growth and strengthened its position as a technological engine and strategic scientific hub for the Western world.
According to Lasri, data from the Israeli Innovation Authority and government ministries show that in 2025, Israeli high-tech exports reached an all-time high of US$85 billion, accounting for some 58 percent of Israel’s total exports and 18.3 percent of gross domestic product (GDP). The statistics say that the sector accounts for 400,000 jobs.
“The message from these figures is unequivocal: war and security threats have not broken Israel’s engine of innovation, and they will not do so,” Lasri writes.
Lasri notes that Israeli companies have scored big global M&A deals and other international investments. In March 2025, Google announced a US$32 billion acquisition of Israel’s Wiz. In a US$25 billion deal, The Palo Alto Networks acquired CyberArk, putting a high-profile cybersecurity and identity security deal in the headlines.
In addition to those deals, Lasri writes, “approximately 1,500 deep-tech companies now operate in Israel in fields including AI, semiconductors, quantum technology, robotics, life sciences and defense technology. These companies raised more than US$28 billion between 2019 and 2025, making Israel the world’s leading deep-tech hub outside the U.S.”
Lasri says that Israel must now take the reins and turn its technological advantages into national strength with a plan that brings together government, industry and academia.
“Israel’s story under fire is about more than a small country that knows how to build successful startups. It is the story of a country developing the technological, scientific and defense capabilities that will shape the future,” he writes. “Israel has demonstrated national resilience, an enterprising spirit, operational capability and technological strength. Through the combined efforts of pioneering industry and forward-looking government policy, the transition from Startup Nation to R&D Nation is no longer merely a vision. It is a reality taking shape before our eyes.”
It is with this in mind that we turned to IP professionals in the region in order to understand better what clients are looking for from today’s IP lawyer. Asia IP asked a large number of professionals – mostly in-house counsel and corporate legal managers – what they were looking for from their legal service providers. From their answers, we have compiled our inaugural list of Israel’s 50 IP Experts, those lawyers who understand just what their clients need and are able to provide them with the best practical advice.
One of the country’s largest legal groups dominates the list: The Reinhold Cohn Group, which includes lawyers from Reinhold Cohn & Partners and Gilat Bareket & Co., placed seven lawyers on the list. Other large firms in Israel also fared well: Cohn de Vries Stadler & Co. and S. Horowitz & Co. each placed three lawyers on the list, while a number of firms placed two, including Adin Liss Pyernik; Drori-Stav & Co.; Ehrlich Group; Fisher Friedman IP Group; Glazberg, Applebaum & Co.; Gornitzky & Co.; Herzog Fox & Neeman; Shalev Jencmen & Co.; and The Luzzatto Group.
Most of the lawyers named to our list have multiple practice specialties. Many of them are litigators, while others concentrate on prosecution work or provide strategic advice.
All of them have something in common: they are experts in their fields and, in one way or another, they provide extra value for their clients. They are Asia IP’s Israel IP Experts. – GREGORY GLASS

Israel’s IP Experts is based solely on independent editorial research conducted by Asia IP. As part of this project, we turned to in-house counsel around the world, as well as Middle East-focused partners at international law firms, and asked them to nominate private-practice lawyers including foreign legal consultants, advisers and counsel.
The final list reflects the nominations received combined with the input of the editorial team at Asia IP, which has more than 55 years of collective experience in researching and understanding legal markets in Asia and the Middle East.
All private practice intellectual property lawyers in Israel were eligible for inclusion in the nominations process; there were no fees or other requirements for inclusion in the process.
The names of our 50 IP Experts are published here. Each IP Expert was given the opportunity to include their biography and contact details in print and on our website, for which a fee was charged.
