DLA Piper has named Frank Ryan, a partner in the firm’s New York office, US co-chair of its intellectual property and technology practice. Ryan will cochair the US practice with John Allcock, a partner in the firm’s San Diego and Silicon Valley offices, who is also global co-chair of the practice group. Ryan advises US and multinational clients with a focus on litigation, IP, media and sports, and complex commercial matters. He has successfully represented clients in a number of cases at trial and is well-versed in content distribution agreements, patent litigation and IP portfolio development and protection.
