Davies Collison Cave Appointed Four Senior Trademark Counsel

Davies Collison Cave has announced the appointment of four of its very experienced trademark attorneys to the new position of senior trademark counsel.
Melbourne-based Fiona Symons has extensive experience in the conduct of trademark availability searches, prosecution of trademarks in both Australia and New Zealand, trademark oppositions and provision of advice in relation to trademark infringement. She has also handled numerous trademark removal applications and applications for revocation of acceptance of trade mark applications. She is also experienced in the management of international trademark portfolios.
Sydney-based Lauren Eade has more than 15 years’ experience in trademark clearance, advisory, registration, portfolio management and enforcement matters, and in high-value intellectual property transactions and intellectual property commercialization. She has a Masters of Law in the field of international and comparative intellectual property law, focusing on European, American and Australian trademark law. Prior to joining DCC, she worked in the litigation team at a leading corporate law firm where she specialized in IPrelated matters.
Melbourne-based Sally Foreman advises on all aspects of trademarks including, selection, searching, prosecution, opposition and infringement as well as related issues under the Australian Consumer Law and passing off. She has expertise in both national and international jurisdictions and has worked inhouse on secondment for a major telecommunications client and for a European attorney firm in the United Kingdom, where she gained experience on all aspects of European trademark law and practice. She has a particular interest in protecting brands in the online environment.
Melbourne-based Tony Lolis specializes in all aspects of trademark law including searching, filing and prosecution. He also has extensive experience in opposition matters before the Australian Trade Marks Office. Lolis has acted for clients in a broad range of industries and has particular experience in the pharmaceutical, food, automobile and tobacco industries. He has also acted for various high-profile sporting organizations and sporting identities, and has wide range of experience in large-scale anti-counterfeiting operations, particularly in relation to the protection of intellectual property rights during major sporting events.
