Bird & Bird Hires Saarah Badr For Middle East Practice

Bird & Bird also hired Saarah Badr, who has joined its Middle East practice as a senior associate. Badr has extensive regional experience, having previously worked as Legal Counsel to the Abu Dhabi Media Zone Authority from 2009 to 2013. She boasts significant expertise advising on regional IP, media and entertainment matters. She is based in Abu Dhabi. “We have been looking to develop our telecommunications capabilities in the Middle East and to capitalize on those opportunities in the region which are closely aligned to this area of expertise, for which we are traditionally known,” says Mark Pinder, the firm’s managing partner in the Middle East.
