Dubai International Financial Centre has new IP law

A new intellectual property law covering IP within the Dubai International Finance Centre, above, came into effect last month.A free zone, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) is a leading financial hub in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region.

A new intellectual property law came into effect in the United Arab Emirates on November 21, 2019. The Dubai International Financial Centre IP Law recognizes trademarks, patents, copyright, utility certificates, industrial designs and drawings registered in UAE.
